Hannah Saunders- Founder and Director of Toddle
Hannah attended the High School for Girls Gloucester, Sheffield University and then Loughborough University to conclude her education. She then set out on a year in America, travelling and working; at an American summer camp, as a Nanny and a gymnastics coach in Florida.
She then joined the RAF in 2008, highlights include;
receiving a Chief of the Air Staff Commendation, coming 3rd out of 150 cadets for the 9 month Officer training course, gaining a Masters in strategic HR and working in a range of jobs from HR assurance, through to training management and intelligence. Hannah enjoyed the RAF immensely, particularly the people, challenging jobs, skiing and representing the RAF Cross-country running team.
Hannah then left the RAF in 2017 to set up an adventure skin care start-up, Toddle.
Activities and successes:
Raised £200,000 in investment, whilst still retaining 60%
Won ‘Pitch of the day’ at the ‘Pitch it Wales’ competition. A dragon’s den style competition in Wales.
Launched in March 2020
Ran a successful Kickstarter; raising £1000 in just 15 hours
Employed 7 members of staff and moved into own premises March 2020
Over 10k followers across social media, passed 5000 customers and £25k revenue on Amazon alone. In 15 retailers so far and exporting to 4 countries.
Outside of work Hannah is married to Ed (a Virgin Atlantic Pilot, also Ex-RAF), has 2 boys (6 and 2), 2 Labradors and an outdoor sports obsession which threatens to bankrupt the family.
