Freelancers and SMEs across Caerphilly were invited to a ‘celebration of local enterprise’ at our Business Summer Social event earlier this month where the local business community came together to kick off the summer in style.
The event at Ffos Market featured an array of food and drink from local traders in a social, fun, and entertaining atmosphere, where businesses and workers could connect in a relaxed setting.
Organised with support from our friends at the Caerphilly Business Club, the celebration was part of ongoing activity throughout 2024, with over £275k worth of business support being delivered across the county borough.
#Kevin Mansell-Abell, the Commercial Director for TownSq, said,
“The business support scheme across Caerphilly has been amazing. We’ve held more than 50 workshops and events, supporting over 250 businesses so far! As we’ve held these, we’ve naturally grown the community, and there was a feeling that a summer social would be a great way to bring everyone together to spark some social and professional collaborations.
“The old adage of ‘people buy into people’ is true, and the best networking and opportunities come through the social aspects of business, be it drinks after work, fun team activities, or simply grabbing a bite to eat. When people get to know each other and drop the formalities, commonalities emerge—that’s the essence of community.”
