Create a coworking space in the Vale of Glamorgan

As we all hopefully start to return to normality as lockdown rules are eased, we are keen to ensure that we can enable people to continue to work closer to home and avoid rushing straight back into the dreaded commute.

In May (subject to restrictions), we are launching a coworking month to celebrate and promote places where people can work in the Vale of Glamorgan’s rural towns and communities.

If you have a space in the Vale of Glamorgan that you could make available for people to work closer to home, we would love to talk to you.

This initiative is being delivered by TownSq, a Welsh B Corp that creates coworking communities across the UK – and Creative Rural Community, a Vale of Glamorgan Council body focused on supporting our great creative communities in the Vale of Glamorgan’s rural wards. It is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development through the Welsh Government’s LEADER programme.

We will be launching the coworking month with an online platform showing people where they can work from, and have a small grant to help you to get furniture or equipment to get your space ready for coworking.

Our goal through the month is to build a new habit for people as they consider their style of working post-Covid. We want to show this through as diverse a range of spaces as possible.

If you don’t have a space just yet, we’d be very grateful if you could share this with anyone that you think might be interested. This might be a cafe or bar, a hotel, church, community centre or company with extra office space which is going unused.

If you’re interested, drop an email to hello@townsq.co.uk or create@valeofglamorgan.gov.uk, or call 02921 111 252 and we can set up a time to speak.
