Town Square founder joins Prime Minister’s Council for Small Businesses

Founder Gareth Jones, along with fifteen others has had the honour of being invited to join the Prime Minister’s new Council for Small Businesses at an event held by Business Secretary Greg Clark in Downing Street.

Gareth joins one of five business councils formed by the Prime Minister tasked with designing specific policy recommendations to improve the competitiveness of British SMEs and enable them to grow in the future.

Gareth said he was excited to be working with some of the country’s most promising businesses and was looking forward to what they could achieve: “It was a real privilege to be asked to join the Prime Ministers Council for Small Businesses and I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the members.

Though our careers, Mandy and I have always aimed to be champions of small businesses and firmly believe that smaller enterprises need to have a voice in wider government policy. I see this as a perfect opportunity to show how the men and women who have built businesses from scratch, can use their experience to support wider growth and provide guidance on how the government can help get more people active in the modern economy.

On a personal note, the invitation is a fantastic yardstick of how far Town Square has come and is a testament to our growing reputation as potential thought leaders in the UK enterprise and small business community.”
