We’ll soon be opening our new HQ and coworking space in Ystrad Mynach, strengthening our commitment to Caerphilly County Borough.
Based at London House in Ystrad Mynach, the building will be home to its business support service, TownSq Admin Support, and has meeting rooms and desks for freelancers and small businesses looking for a local space to work.
The official opening will take place alongside the company’s seventh birthday celebration on November 7th. Anyone wishing to attend can contact kelly@townsq.co.uk to find out more.
TownSq Founders Gareth Jones and Mandy Weston originally co-founded Welsh ICE in 2012 which went on to generate millions in net GVA benefit to the Welsh economy, created hundreds of jobs and supported thousands of individuals to start and grow businesses.
In 2017 Gareth and Mandy sold their stake in the business to start TownSq, and took what they had learned to other places across the UK. Now the company has nine spaces across the UK in London, North Wales, Devon, Oxfordshire, Kent, West Sussex, Herefordshire and now again, Caerphilly. It has 35 members of staff and provides business support to thousands of freelancers and SMEs across the country.
Speaking of the new space, Mandy Weston said that while the company has grown beyond the county borough, Caerphilly has always felt like home. Mandy said:
“We’re so proud of everything we have already achieved at TownSq and we’re excited about the plans we have in store for the business at home and further afield.
“We’ve grown a national business in the last seven years, but we’re committed to keeping our HQ in Caerphilly borough. The Valleys are a great place to do business, we’ve built a fantastic team and have enjoyed seeing them grow with our expansion. With communities like the Caerphilly Business Club and so much more going on it feels like a good time to invest in the local economy.
“Our head office has a coworking space and meeting rooms, so we can keep providing support to local business owners – we’ve worked with 500 local businesses across the borough this year alone – and grow a national business from a thriving town in the heart of the Valleys.”
