Where it all began

Since 2011, Mandy Weston and Gareth I. Jones have been supporting entrepreneurs by cultivating communities where entrepreneurship can thrive.

Over the past decade, they have supported thousands of freelancers, new company directors and aspiring entrepreneurs in starting-up, raising investment and growing their businesses.

Town Square was founded in 2017 to take their innovative, community-focused approach around the UK – to create a TownSq in every town square.

Our beliefs

We believe strongly that communities across the UK are filled with talented, driven and creative people. By creating inclusive spaces for these communities to meet, we have seen for ourselves the benefits - for our local economies, society and environment.

Our idea

Our big idea is to create a TownSq in every town square. Giving communities a place to meet and talk about ideas, big and small; to meet like-minded people and those who challenge our view on the world, and ultimately creating places full of prosperity and hope.

Our mission

Our mission is "entrepreneurship for good". We want to see a world where people, places, and communities thrive. We continuously work to create new ways of doing this, by helping people to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and connecting with their communities for positive impact.

Our values

Our team is built on values of trust, openness and a positive outlook. We enter every conversation with an open heart and mind, and leave our cynicism and doubt behind. We know that we have a responsibility to our members and the planet, and make every decision with both in mind.

Our BCorp Status

We place the utmost importance on our economic, social, and environmental responsibilities. This is why we committed to becoming a B Corp.

B Corps envision a global economy that uses business as a force for good. All B Corps sign a declaration of interdependence which commits us to our responsibility to each other and future generations.

Our system is broken, and we believe that being a B Corp allows us to take on the mission of transforming the role of business in society.

Our accreditations

TownSq is a gold-accredited organisation through the Committed 2 Equality programme, SQMAS accredited for our good operational processes and a Living Wage employer.

We hold Cyber Essentials certification, and commit to rigorous assessment as a B Corp to ensure that we are continually focused on ensuring our operations are challenged to improve.
